NALINI SORENSEN

Hello and welcome to my website!
It's a little strange to write about myself like this, but my hope is that you get to know me, as a person, through this website. I've tried to make this as casual and informal as possible. My only wish for this website is that you feel like you can hear me talking to you as you sift from page to page, as if we were chatting in my living room, sipping chai.
Here's a little more about me:
I laugh a lot and easily, often at myself. Humour is very important to me. I'm a fairly positive person; to me, the glass is almost always three-quarter full, and often overflowing. I absolutely love animals and happy endings.
I meditate daily to help me cope with the plot twists in life. I don't watch much TV, adore listening to music, and read more than most normal people do. I like to say that I prefer to keep my nose in a book and out of other people's business. I'm attracted to kindness in people. I hate to cook, but love to eat; I'm every restauranteur's dream.
Oh, and there are a lot of ideas for stories popping about in my head! I promise. Almost all the time. On some days, faster (and louder) than the popcorn in your microwave.
I love writing for children because I know there's a six-year-old hiding in each of us, waiting to peek out. I take immense pride in nurturing my inner child, and sometimes feel sad that I grew up. It really isn't all it was made out to be.
I live in Mumbai to you, Bombay to me, with my husband, two sons, and our dog, Sydney. My husband and I tease our sons that Sydney is the favourite child in our home. (Sometimes we mean it.) There's a lot of love, a lot of laughter, and a lot always going on in our home.
Here are a few of the latest photographs from my social media posts which reflect what's been on my mind these days:
